The Rise and Fall of a Military Blogger

We here at the Surface Force Center for Maritime Advanced Warfare Studies have been following the situation in the below linked Military Times article as well. All the more reason why bloggers/writers who are still on the government payroll may be best suited to remain anonymous or utilize a semi-anonymous pseudo-name.

STATEMENT ON TODAY'S CGBLOG REVEALATIONS

We find today’s revelations concerning possible manipulation of CGBlog by outside forces as disturbing as the anti-Coast Guard tone CGBlog has taken over the past few weeks with threads created by a vocal minority of malcontents with no sea time peddling inaccuracies and misinformation about Coast Guard operational readiness/safety and allegations of failures on the part of Coast Guard leaders and program managers to provide effective cutter material support. It is not a giant leap to believe that CGBlog will continue to alienate more real Coasties as they continue to march on an agenda obviously driven from elsewhere.
